MGM Institute of Health Sciences Placements

At MGMIHS, a placement cell for students already exists. It is run by the director of staff welfare affairs and aided by coordinators for placement appointed by each component unit. Any MGMIHS alum who needs help finding a job or getting placed can provide the information needed in the format provided.

Since all academic programmes offered by MGMIHS are professional courses, the majority of its graduates and post-graduates find employment as independent contractors quite quickly. There is consequently very little scope for campus interviews or placement through placement firms. With the following roles and tasks, the MGMIHS Placement cell worked to link the professional expertise of our graduates with that of the sector and services:

  • To make sure that all MGMIHS graduates are promptly registered with all statutory organisations (MCI, INC, OT-PT Council, RCI, Paramedical Council) through the appropriate Institutional Heads, while keeping a centralised database.
  • To encourage graduates to sign up as "Job Seekers" on the National Career Service (NCS) portal at www.ncs.gov.in/job-seeker/Pages/default.aspx, run by the Ministry of Labour and jobs, GOI, in order to get jobs at the finest companies.
  • To schedule alumni/student counselling meetings and occasionally invite qualified career counsellors.
  • Contacting the MGMIHS Alumni Association, who have already been made aware of the options available to recent grads and post-graduates.
  • The upkeep of a database of all relevant organisations and networking with experts in the pertinent sectors, including reputable hiring firms.
  • To help all graduates get through the required verification procedure more quickly once it was started by their employers when they were hired.
  • In order to inform students about job prospects throughout the world, guest lectures will be conducted by inviting eminent experts and MGMIHS alumni.
  • To arrange for sporadic campus interviews and placements with interested outside agencies or organisations.
  • To help students find internships and jobs, to help them enhance their resumes, to help them prepare for interviews, etc.
  • The promotion of beneficial engagement with industry through taking part in industrial displays, fairs, and seminars.
  • To find and inspire young, curious minds so they may be a part of the MGMIHS Innovation and Incubation cell that develops young entrepreneurs and start-ups.
